Activity Feed - Shows all your activity on the site.
Ads - Paid advertisements by Fan page owners that can be granularly targeted to specific demographics.
Application – Special programs built for use on the Facebook platform. This may include things such as Yahoo News, Spotify or the Wall Street Journal. Applications are designed to allow you convenient access to information while logged-into Facebook.

Badge – The box that you put on your website that allows people to like your page from the website.
Chat - Allows you to chat with your friends if they are online, and chat with people in your groups.
Cover – The Cover is the large photo in the Facebook Timeline.
Edgerank - The algorithm of the Facebook ranking system for content showing in the news feed.
Email – Allows you to email friends (but not other Fan Pages) privately.
Events – Events are a very popular Facebook feature. You can manage your events by clicking on the Events link on the left-hand side of your Home page.
Fan Page - Special page for businesses that require connections to “Like” the page as opposed to subscribing or being a friend. The Fan page relationship is one-way. Fan pages can only interact with other fan pages; Fan Page owners cannot comment or like content of its Fans. Fan pages can be used for Facebook Ads, and you can create special welcome messages using Facebook iFrame Apps.
Favorites – Your most used Lists and Groups that you set to show up directly under your little profile photo thumbnail in the upper left corner of your home page.
Friends – Friends are the connections that you have on Facebook. Friends are 2-way, meaning they can comment on your posts and see what you post, and you can do the same with their content. You can also email and chat with your friends.
Group – This is a special area of Facebook where the posts are visible only to people who are members of the group. Groups can be open, closed or private, depending on who you want to access them. You can be added to Groups automatically without your permission. This is annoying for many people, so it is not recommended. You can access the various Facebook Groups from your Home Page.
Lists – These are categories for arranging your Facebook friends. You can access your groups from your home link on the left-hand side.
News Feed – The listing of posts when you click the “Home” link in the upper right corner of your Facebook Profile.
Profile – The place where you add your personal information and converse with Friends. You can comment on your friend’s posts, on Fan pages and on other people’s Facebook walls.
Sponsored Links – Facebook ads targeted to you according to the things you post and your profile information.
Spotify - An application that you download ot your computer that shows the music you are listening to to your friends.
Status – Where you share what is going on with you on your Profile or Fan Page. Content you post here shows up in the news feed of your friends, subscribers, or in the case of the Fan Page, your Fans.
Subscribers – People can subscribe to your Profile who are not your friends. Subscribers can see all of the posts you make that are public. If someone makes a friend request and you do not answer it, note that they are automatically subscribed to your Facebook posts.
Thumbnail – The little rendering of your Profile Photo in the news feed, posts and comments. You can manage your thumbnail by mousing over your Profile photo.
Ticker – The small rectangle box on your Home page showing “Recent Activity” data of your friends.
Timeline - The new layout unveiled in 2011 for the profile. It adds additional features such as a 2-column layout, the ability to feature posts, large photos and more locational abilities. Another popular feature is the large Cover (see above) photo. The Timeline contains all of your Facebook posts and activity since the first day you signed-up.
Wall – This is another term for your Facebook Profile.
