Hoopla Content is a phrase I’m coining to describe a very necessary and important part of the Facebook Marketing strategy for businesses of all sizes. It is the content that keeps your community on the edge-of-their seats, anticipating what will be next. Hoopla Content is commotion, a reason to shout, drawing attention to your brand and engaging your community and network in the process. It’s about making a big deal of upcoming events, promotions, contests and/or content. It’s all about hoopla, making things more lively, exciting, fun, engaging and ultimately addicting.
Think of HOOPLA CONTENT like a movie preview, only it’s shorter and broadcast more often through social media.
According to Dictionary.com, “Hoopla” is “bustling excitement or activity; commotion; hullabaloo; to-do.” That’s exactly what Hoopla Content is intended to do in your network, cause a commotion, stir excitement. You must have Hoopla Content that is new, exciting and fun if you want to get the attention of people through the social media networks.
