Tagging people from your Facebook profile causes the post to show up on your wall, as well as the wall of those you tag. This is a good way to promote other people, and get the attention of people you want to talk to on Facebook.
1. Go to the Status Update Box.
2. Start typing what you want to type.
3. When you get ready to tag your friend, type the @ symbol.
4. Immediately after you type the symbol, type the first letter of the last name of the friend you want to tag.
5. You should see a drop-down of all your friends with a name that starts with that letter.
6. Choose the friend you wish to tag (highlighted in blue) and clicking enter.
7. Click “Share.”
8. Once you share the post, it will show up in your news feed as well as on the wall of the friend that you tagged.
